Tanya Nash Scholarship

Completing a college education is one of the greatest accomplishments and assets one can achieve. As an increasing amount of jobs and industries require employees to complete their college degrees, pursuing higher education can open up many lucrative career opportunities. Earning a bachelor’s degree leads to a median boost in lifetime earnings of $900,000 for men and $630,000 for women, and the benefits of a graduate degree are even greater.

 

This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Tanya Smith-Nash by supporting students in Washington, D.C. who are pursuing higher education.

 

Any high school senior in D.C. who will be pursuing a college education after graduation may apply for this scholarship.
